OG&E’s Mustang Energy Center is now fully operational. OG&E installed seven, modern natural gas-fired units to replace the 1950s era power generating units at the former Mustang Power Plant. Only the second of its kind in the country, Mustang Energy Center can generate 462 MWs of power and is capable of starting and putting electricity onto the grid in just 10 minutes, compared to 10 to 20 hours for the former units.

Go. Big. ORANGE. We joined an industry-led effort to restore power in Puerto Rico.

Welcome home! The second wave of OG&E crews reunited with their families when they returned from Puerto Rico. OG&E sent two groups of line crews to island to support ongoing power restoration. In total, OG&E crews were on the island for 40 days (Jan 20 – Feb 28, 2018).
